I remembered seeing this last week when I saw the new challenge, and I wondered if your shot had any influence on picking the new challenge.

I thought that too. I found two in one week, what are the chances of that happening again? D'oh!

Ok… THIS SUCKS!

Yesterday morning when I turned the corner at a traffic light I saw this HUGE dog standing on top of a truck amongst a long line of traffic. Unexpected!

Just now I had to call 911 because there were two horses walking down the middle of the road… Again unexpected!

Did I have my camera with me on either occasion?? NO! Lesson learned!

I give up…lol

I just came back from a business trip to Paris. I didn't find anything unusual to photograph except maybe this guy. He didn't look like a bum at all but rather like a fully dressed business man that had just decided to take a nap in one of Paris' most busy roundabouts - LOL :)

I thought of entering it as an 'unexpected find' but it wasn't really that unexpected... ;)

I had the same issue. I was coming back from church this morning and what should be taking a stroll on a sidewalk but a bobwhite quail. I've never seen one alive. Then I was passing by a pond a pass by every day, and there was a blue heron standing in the middle of it as pleased as anything to be in a pond with two horses watching. Of course my camera was safely at home on my tabletop tripod ready for the shot I was planning on doing tonight to meet another challenge, and the shot is not an easy one either. I've already tried doing the shot for about 3 hours and still did not get the one I wanted.

Seems as if my unexpected find was nothing to be much proud of after hearing about your stories.

I was drinking a Jones fountain drink and they put pictures and quotes underneath the lids of all their drinks. And what did I find? A tiny print of a camera, which was ironic because I was drinking the soda as a break from walking around getting nature shots.

I thought it was interesting,
But not as interesting, now that I've seen what other people have found.
