Album: Rubber Soul
Tracks: Eight Days a Week, If I Fell, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, P.S. I Love You, etc., etc., so many good ones. Many of the ones I like best could be called love songs.

Well....I don't have a fave...but I do have one that gets sung to me on a regular basis...whether I like it or not. It is pretty obvious...doh!!

That's like asking me to choose my favorite child (if I had any, that is)...

Albums: I like the stripped down version of Let It Be, after bonding very strongly with the original version in college, to the chagrin of every Beatles purist I have ever met. I'm also very fond of of Revolver.

I have too many favorite songs that are on equal footing with each other, but four that immediately come to mind are Blackbird, Norwegian Wood, Within You Without You, and Something.

I know what you mean, but it's also supposedly common knowledge that the White Album is a mess. But the original Let It Be and the White Album are both phenomenal.

Very hard to choose! Maybe Sergeant Pepper's, and Magical Mystery Tour.
Song: You've Got to Hide Your Love Away (and several others)

My fave album is the White album ..the diversity of the content combined with the overall high quality of the music is quite staggering.

Much harder to pick a favourite track...I find it difficult to separate.."Strawberry fields", "I am the Walrus" and "Rain"...so I`ll go for these three.

Man oh man...I don't think I could pick just one...
While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Blackbird, Hey Jude, Julia, The Sun King trilogy from Abbey Road (Mean Mr. Mustard, Polythene Pam, She Came in Through the Bathroom Window), Norwegian Wood, A Day in the Life, Michelle, In My Life, Dear Prudence, Rocky Raccoon....etc etc..etc...

I may only be 30, but I am a huge Beatles fan. I am looking forward to the challenge, but I can only hope I can do one of these phenomenal songs justice!

I grew up hearing mostly folk and show tunes, so the first Beatles album I really liked was Rubber Soul. which I consider their "unplugged" album. Later, after I started playing some, I learned to appreciate the earlier stuff too.
Some favorite tracks:
John: In My Life; Revolution
Paul: Eleanor Rigby; the "long version" of Hey Jude which was shown on the Smothers Comedy Brothers Hour (perhaps one of the first "music videos" on network TV) was pretty good too.
George: While My Guitar Gently Weeps; Taxman
A Day In The Life deserves special mention, as what I think may be one of the few Lennon/McCartney tunes which is actually a collaboration, as well as for the technical achievement which it took to record it using the equipment of the day.

I totally want to see that one tackled in the challenge. ;-)

Tough... Favorite album depends highly on my mood but even with that I would have to call it a tie between Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's.

Song, even tougher. I don't know that I could actually pick one but just to be different and not pick one that has been mentioned before I would go with "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite".
