I leave work in 15 minutes, and waiting for me at home is a brand new Canon 100mm 2.8 USM Macro lens! I put a rather expensive synth on Ebay, and the money is going towards this lense, and the rest is going towards paying off my car sooner. I can't wait!

I have to wait a bit to get mine...Last night I had a dream that I was chasing one across a big meadow in the springtime, and just before I could reach out and hold it...I fell into a 10 foot hole! LMAO

Have any of your 30-day self-portraits been with it? I don't think I will use it too much for portraits, but I've heard from several sources (here included) that it's great for that.

I've been shooting a lot of stock lately, so I figured I'd put the lense to use with whatever I could find. A bunch of pennies did the trick. I know it's not the most exciting shot in the world, but the macro capabilities are amazing. BTW, idnic I love your "eye" shot (can't remember which day).

Hmm...June 8 to july 8 to aug 8...two months, but school starts in late august.
Perhaps since i work from home and have 2 kids here already i should see if i can make some extra lens money babysitting...

the cost of childcare is why i work from home - 2 kids in daycare was $900 a month at the cheap place. One place was $1500!

Is that all ?? You guys don't know how fortunate you are to have access to cheap child care.
Where I live it costs $55 per day per child. For our two kids thats $110 per day and it leaves little incentive to having both of us parents working.

bazz.

you guys are killing me. I used to pay 392 a week for two and now I am at 310 and its hard. I was just counting the days till the 5 year old starts school~180 a week. Where do you live for 55 and who would watch them that cheap? LOL

Congrats on the sweet lens. Be sure the wife is in bed tonight too.
