Congrats indeed! Though there were several photos that I really thought were stunning, and ended up surprisingly low (IMO). So, I'd like to throw some props out to those shots:

And many more! I really had a fun time voting on as much of this challenge as I could!

A criticism I heard (and appreciated) was that the submission could not be recognized as a negative, and might score low, and voila, that's exactly what happened. Mine's here. Some that I think were affected by this phenomenon, and which I really wish had done better, are:

I'm still not convinced that this one is a negative. If it is, I definitely underscored it and I apologize:

And lady hawk, thank you for acknowledging my pic. For me, that's a high score, actually! :)

I agree with the birds one. I tried inverting it and THEN it looked inverted.
Louis, thanks for mentioning my ceiling shot. I honestly expected to only hit average with this, tho' one always hopes for higher :)
I entered it for improvement feedback. For me there's definitely no wow factor.
But I do agree with you about shots that weren't obvious negatives being scored down. When I wasn't sure I took it into photoshop myself, and found at least 4 that really weren't negatives.

Yeah, you're right, I guess I just assumed it was a negtive. Damn. I really liked it. :)

I did think yours was okay, but I switched it just because I was curious to see the starting image. I must say, good work! The original was just ordinary, this is almost.... mystical?

I gave that one a 7. I really liked it, and thought it was a negative.

I thought that was the one you were talking about getting the self DQ on. Was a good shot. Too bad about the wrong challenge thing. I think it'd done well.

Most of my favourites didn't end up in the top 10. here are a few that finished way lower than I thought they would.

I really thought this one would do better. Judging from the comments, a lot of people didn't think it was done with basic editing, even though it was validated. I'd like to know how it was done, too.

Here's my entry. The only really useful comments I got for this picture was that it was too busy. I thought all the wires made for an interesting photo. When I tried to crop out the plants and buildings to just leave the pole and fewer wires, the resulting image was rather dull (to me at least). I would apprecate any other suggestions.

My other idea:

And congratulations to the winners! All were quite deserving.

I have a "negative" comment and might as well post it here.
I, personally, would never copy and paste a photo just to scrutinize it prior to voting. Is this a common practice or just what some voters did for this negative challenge? I'm perhaps more sensitive because my photo had some camera shake issues and I decided not to submit it to "windows" because of it. However, when I inverted it I thought it looked a whole lot better and said "What the heck", might as well.
Big mistake. Anyway, what's the deal?

Congrats to all the winners. Thanks to all that voted on my photo.
