I have the upgrade to PS7 version of CS2 and of course I have memory issues. It boggles me if I can remove the program since it is listed in the add and delete section separately? Anyone done this or can direct me if I am not supposed to?

I have not tried it, but you should be able to remove either (or both) versions.

When installing CS2 it should (don't know if it does) ask for the disk of the previous version to prove ownership. In other words, it should not require you to install first one, and then the other. It might, but shouldn't.

I'm not sure that answers your question, but I'm not sure I understand what your asking either. :( What memory issues are you having?

Sorry David if I wasn't clear; I would like to remove PS7 but of course I don't know if that will effect PS7. I mean you shouldn't have to have both? I only use one.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to do? Are you trying to install them both on your computer?

Do you have the CS2 upgrade itself? It will work to upgrade PS 5.5 and later. I bought PS 6.0 cheap on Ebay, installed it, then installed CS2 Upgrade version, then removed PS 6.0, because it's not needed nor do I use it. If you have PS 7.0 already, then the CS2 Upgrade will run, then remove PS 7.0 if you need the space. Do you not have enough memory to install the upgrade?

Shouldn't the upgrade automatically overwrite PS7? That's generally how upgrades work isn't it? I would assume that it would overwrite PS7 or just add new files and modify the ones that need to be modified. Not sure how this works but here's a bump if anyone else knows.

i have 7, CS and CS2 all installed on the same system, via upgrades. All still work. [G5] They are not the kind of upgrades that merely add a new component to an existing installation. You should have no problems uninstalling 7.

As a PS7 and CS2 user I would support and agree with what others have said about installing CS2. It leaves PS7 untouched so you can remove it later when you want. If you do not have enough disk space to have both installed at the same time then that would be a problem which you may need to contact software support to resolve.
