there is some interest here to hold a world wide GTG next year for DPC members.

I think Iceland would be a great place for a GTG and I wanted to check out how much it would cost pr. person to come to Iceland for the GTG.

I know a return ticket from USA is from $449, return ticket from Europe is from €120.

a friend of mine owns a few hotel and I was asking him to give me an offer for the GTG, but I need to know how many people would come.. not exactly but approx..

for an Iceland GTG in September 2007, can we count on 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 persons ?

a group smaller than 20 persons isn't considered a group...

those interested in joining us Icelanders for a few days in September 2007 please say so here..

this is not a binding contract, just trying to figure out how many might come.

I would love to come! I'm sure I've got the flight miles to get me there and back no problem.

I am certainly interested - I have no idea at this point if I can swing it but I will try.

I and my wife would love to, but yeah, not sure we could actually swing it.

edit - sheesh, nevermind, tickets are $975 round trip from the midwest. Probably safe to count us out.

Add two to the list. I have always wanted an excuse to get to Iceland. My wife and I would absolutely come. Just checked prices, around $800 each round trip from Atlanta. This is a great idea, and I'd love to see the plan develop.

I can't imagine having the money to do this, but if I did I would :-)

whoopee ...

I am definatly in.

let me know the dates.

that it into Keflavik,Reykjavik, the only draw back might be the early retun flight.

will just have to wait and see and save up.

September is too late (school), but if it was July or early August, I'd try hard to make it.

Well, for us californians "from $449" means something like $900, but I am definitely very interested: Iceland is in my Top 5 list of dream trips. Count me and my wife in.

For those of you that live in Europe, keep an eye on Iceland Express - Icebreaker
they put new flights on there almost every day.
And for those in America, you can sign up for Icelandairs Lucky fares, good offers from time to time.

I would love to see this happen. That would cost me $1600 for just the two plane tickets unless I bring the kids.

if there is a group of people coming from the same location in USA then there is a possibility to get a group discount from Icelandair.

and if ordered in advance a return ticked could go as low as $400.

to get a cheap flight to Iceland you just have to drive down to Orlando, Florida :)

there are some Icelandic students at the University in Atlanta and they fly to florida and drive to Atlanta.

just a few hours drive ;)
