Kari,
You need Adobe Acrobat installed on your PC. Then adobe embeds their protocols within your Microsoft API - meaning you can print, save as and view your office documents in PDF format. If you only have Adobe Reader, you can only read PDF files. Feel free to PM me if you have an questions.

This is quite a nice one to convert from M$ Word:
//www.primopdf.com/

If you use openoffice it has a pdf function built in.

If you don't want to download and install software onto your computer, you may want to take a look at PDF Online. You can upload your Microsoft Word document (as well as other file types) and have the converted PDF sent to your e-mail address.

alright...i downloaded and installed and even read the directions (i never seem to do that) but the file is no where to be found and i know i saved it on my desktop to make it easy to find.
did i do something wrong?

Not unless not reading the manual is wrong ;-) In Word or whatever program you're using, go to print, then select Printer - it should be at the bottom of the list (ie, not your default printer).
I only downloaded it just now, too. Thanks to the guys for the link!

What you should do is drop Word all together and use OpenOffice.Org which has embedded option to save a file as PDF.
Oh and no, I don't like micro$oft. :)
EDIT: sorry bluenova didn't see your post.

yea, lol, Microsoft get most of their ideas from the opensource world, so M$ Word will probably have it too in a few years time :D
