Hi everyone,
I know there have been discussions on this before, I read many in the archives. However, none has current links to sellers they bought wireless triggers from.

Here's my question. I'm currently using an IR trigger that just isn't what I want anymore, sometimes gives a red tinge when I try to shoot close ups, etc.

I just ordered some Alien Bee's and figure while I'm getting new stuff I'd also try out a wireless trigger. But because I've spent plenty of money on lighting and props lately, I don't want to spend much more, therefore I'm not interested in getting a pocket wizard or anything like that.

I saw mostly favorable reviews about Wireless Triggers from ebay but wonder is there a specific one that anyone bought and can recommend or is there another place to purchase these inexpensive ones?

Also, if you have one, do you have the 4 channel and also is your receiver the type that takes batteries or the ac type that are powered off of your lights. Which one do you prefer?

Thanks a bunch, I want to purchase one today in hopes that it will get here when or before my lights do and I can play with them a couple days before my next photo session and see how they work together.

I really can't help much here, but I saw there were no responses, so I figured I'd bump.

Also, I wonder if you have tried putting using a 1-2 (or more) second self-timer for your shots taken with the remote to get rid of that red light interference silliness.

That's the first thing I would do.

I'm going to guess that you are taking close-ups of fairly stable things where 1-2 second delays wouldn't be a real issue?

I think most wireless setups use IR anyhow, just not all different kinds of IR have the same light frequency. The only real difference is that you won't be so close.

Wireless triggers, those are what the New Roy Rogers is riding?

too expensive for me, when using my sync cable isn't possible i just use my 550ex pointed straight up to trip the strobes in slave mode

I perfer the calumet triggers. There made by bogen. They runof of 2 AAA batteries. I had no problems with them at all.
