I think I have chosen a 'cliche' shot for my submission into the "From the Ground Up" challenge. I shot a lot of photographs this week for this challenge (over 200 megabytes worth) and none of the novelty and 'unique' ideas that I executed seemed to have the impact that my current choice has. I actually expect to see photos similar to mine in this challenge. I actually hope that I do :)

Good luck!

i've suggested it before, and i'll suggest it again: I think that making a challenge topic really really specific can do a lot to eliminate the subjective quality and get a lot of people on the same field. i.e. if this challenge had been 'shoot a person from the ground up', or a 'building' or whatever. i hope that at some pt we try a very specific subject challenge.

i'd vote for elimating free will as well, if the webmasters are able to do so.

also, gordons crescent wrench is from sweden. that aint right

here's another couple of throwaways ... i definitely liked the silver basket, but its so small, i just couldn't get low enough. (It's only about an inch and a half tall).

Oh, and here's a throwaway from stop motion, while i'm cleaning out the cupboards ... : ) Nothing great, but I was surprised no one else did bubbles...

Magnetic, re your bubble shot - black background and flash from righthand side may well have got in top 3!

So what's wrong with Sweden then ? I didn't get the 'conform to these countries' list. I think we need the rules changed to include the banned sources information.

we suck cocaine off 20's
04/28/2002 11:25:48 AM · #35
You lost me (as usual) after the second word.

its easiest to pay for cocaine with 20's. it cuts down on the amount of bills you have to carry, and it makes it so you usually dont have to get change from the dealer. thats in reference to 10 dollar bills and 50 dollar bills respectively. since most people are carrying around a wad of 20 dollar bills, its also easiest to just roll it and snort with the 20. of all the bills, any random $20 has the most cocaine present

So I take it clay, that your next submission will be the view up a rolled 20 into someone's nose? :o)

I finally came up with a submission. It's sort of weird, but so am I. I don't think I'm going to get marked down for being a cliche. I can't wait till tomorrow too.
