I found an interesting hint in this forum
PS Filter Discussion

Combined it with another hint I had seen elsewhere here. I created a second layer and used emboss, lightened the emboss layer, then used the gaussian blur on it, and finally burned a spot or two on the original layer, then merged. I think I like the results. Thanks to Kiwiness for the hint.

Too bad that the original is better in my own opinion.

Too bad BruB's opinion is wrong :-)
Second one's great! Good Job.

I agree with BruB. The editing seems to have put a haze over the image removing a lot of the detail.

edit: unless of course you've labelled them backwards

Second one's labelled as the original.

wait, im confused. well the one u have labled as orginal definitely looks better in my opinion. the edited one looks to washed out, and does not have the same vibrance as the original. Given that the focus seems to be on the color (yellow) that is surrounded by white, i think vibrance is essential. guess thats just my opinion tho
