OK guys & gals, heads up, first of all check out this website, and be in awe of the effect this guys tilt/shift lens produces..

OK, I thought it was a great effect so decided to simulate it as best as I could in photoshop, here is what I managed to achieve after 5 minutes playing around..

It was quiet easy to achieve, I basically used an alpha-channel, set a circular gradient (white in middle fading to black), added the lens-blur filter, selected the Alpha channel as the source and thats it.. I daresay with a bit more work/refining I could emulate thats guys picture quite closely.
For those interested, the pic is one I took about 6 months ago from the top of the Blackpool Tower.

That's great work. I'm not sure if I'm reading this right, but there are two diffractive lights in the picture. One nearly vertical on the left of the 'focal' area that is blue-ish and a reddish orange one that is on the right of the 'focal' area.
I like that sort of thing. I feel it adds a certain character.

Hi, the original photo was taken through vey dirty glass, and the reflections are probably my coat, or someone behind me etc. Very observent though :-)
