We went on a trip to Yosemite for the long weekend. It was cold (mostly subzero) and snowing, and rather pretty!! Here are some pictures... comments and suggestions are welcome!

Awesome shots, Arpita! I love the 4th and last one. I also love the one with the tree on the cliff - too bad it doesn't stand out more. I wish I could be there for a weekend.

Those are some really beautiful shots, Arpita! I've always loved the extraordinary images you've been able to create with the least expensive lenses that Canon makes. It just shows once again that the most important thing is what's behind the camera.

Thank you everyone for your comments! Of course more are welcome too :)
It's really amazing how sharp the 18-55 was acting on this trip- I was mostly using it between f8 and f14 (handheld), and the shots turned out quite sharp!!

You did a marvelous job with these pictures, Arpita, and should be proud! I really enjoyed all of them. I think you should offer them up as prints.

Shooting in sub-zero temperatures is really difficult. All your gear gets really cold to touch and manipulating the buttons and controls of the camera must be very hard. I'm assuming you mounted the camera on a tripod.

Thanks very much! Actually most of them are handheld... I was wearing two layers of gloves, and could barely make any of the buttons respond :D
