I was just taking some photos when suddenly I noticed nothing was happening. I looked at the camera display and it said the CF was full - I only have 84 images on it...any ideas?

how large are each of your images?
what compression settings did you use?
are you shooting RAW?
how big is your CF card?

here's what I would do if faced with the same situation:

1. pop the card into the computer (use card reader) and see what are in there. sometimes there are files inside that the camera cannot recognize (nor report).

2. copy all the images out from the card into computer, format CF card

Sorry crayon, I am not very technically minded - I have no idea of how to do what you said, and very embarrassed that I don't.

I ma currently uploading the 84 images and then I will see if there is still a problem;)

What I think crayon is saying is:
Plug your camera into your computer, and see if there are any files on your CF card that are not photos, or are not in the normal place photos belong. If there are such files copy them onto your computer, and using the menu function on your camera, format the CF card.
Good luck!

Just FORMAT the card after you have copied the images all out :)

somewhere in your camera, in the menus, you should be able to find "Format CF"

From the manual:
1. select Menu
2. scroll to the 3rd Tab (icon with wrenches)
3. scroll down to Format
4. select OK

NOTE: this will erase everything on your CF card!

Thank you so much Crayon - I owe you big time;)

I just looked at my menu and it's set at large - I have no idea how that happened as I haven't altered that menu in 12 months. I'll try what you said. Thanks again, to both of you;)
