I know people here at DPC are using a wide range of different browsers, screen resolutions, and operating systems, so I was wonding, if you have time, if you could check the website I just finished making for compatibility issues.

I made the website for a local band, you may recognise one of the photos I used on the site...

The Website

Nice work. Love the main index page with The DNA and color popping up on the mouseovers. Everything else seemed good, except perhaps showing up a bit big on my screen as i think you have it set up to automatically resize based on peoples resolutions. I prefer small sized text and links, as I am not yet blind and proud of it! Sure it will appeal and work well for mass audience though. Excellent work. Good design and color choices.

Thanks everyone :)

What resolution are you on Jason? The text size is set as "2" on the stylesheet, and should stay the same...

I can't understand a word that boy is saying!
Even with the lyrics in front of me, it's still gibberish.

Nice site though. Everything works fine from my end.
Win XP, IE 6, 1280 x 1024, DSL

Lol, it took me a while to figure them out too... it seems he misses out random words, or says them so quickly that they are inaudible to humans.

Well, maybe his band will be a big hit in pet stores.

IE - ok
Opera - ok
Netscape (7.02) - a few pics in the gallery won't open, may be a javascript error.

VERY nice design and implementation... I especially like the way you have done the gallery! Everything worked well here, although it did take a few minutes to get all the swapped images, etc. loaded (still on dialup-- 26.4kbps is as fast as it gets).

Win XP pro, IE 6.0.2600.0000, 1024x768, Dial-up ISP

There is no server side validation on your form.

The client side validation you did use doesn't correctly check for email address format.

ie: blah@blah validates true.

Thanks for pointing that out roleychiu... you wouldn't happen to know how to fix it would you? :) I put 'required' and 'must be email' in the validation properties, but I guess that just checks for an @.

Thanks everyone for testing it :) Glad to see there are no major problems :)

you can find some pre-written scripts online. just search: javascript email validation

but you still need server side validation.

just search: php email validation

Use this to validate your fields...
