i had another fantastic assignment yesterday, definitely at the other end of the spectrum from covering the vigil i reported on in another post.

a local high school has pioneered an after-school program that brings together kids of various backgrounds and various needs to give both the opportunity to see what it's like on the other side. it has met overwhelming success so far.

my assignment was to simply get some shots. i tried to take it a step further, and get shots where it wasn't immediately apparent as to who was helping who, or who might need the most help.

here's one

here are the rest.

Very nice picture and story Skip. This is a great thing they are doing and will greatly benefit the kids involved. You can tell by the girl being helped laughing and smiling just how much fun it is for her.

Some of the photos look a tad bit red to me but could be my monitor. I need to calibrate. It's been way too long since I have.

I like them, they, all of them, convey some kind of emotiion. I love the ones of them laughing.

what a great gig, it would be totally cool (and a little rewarding) being able to see those kids working together, and great images to go with it, I hope your pictures increase the awareness and beauty of this program. Good job and great job.
