Mine fell whole point in last 24 hours!

Mine hasn`t changed by more than .2 since voting started.

mine is holding at 6.2 but my darn Round shot keeps bobbing up and down over and under 6.

I like to keep above 6.
I have a round challenge pic which i thought was terrible but the wife liked it,on 6.2.
And my contrast pic that i thought would be top 10 on a score of 5.7.
Shows what i know.

my contrast is in downward spiral. Thought I had something at first...oh well.

My round score started at 6.75 and has slowly gone down to 6.05.
My contrast score started at 5.05, and has steadily climbed to 5.6 (hope it keeps going up!).

Weird dynamics in voting lately...

Contrast is yo-yoing (were there any yo-yo's in Round?) between 5.5 & 6, I certainly wouldn't have scored it that high in this challenge!

I think my pic is on a submarine....the score keeps going down :(

as usual, all comments so far are the usual 'excellent', 'awesome', 'my favorite', and the always inaccurate 'a sure winner'

meanwhile, the score drops and drops -- amazingly enough, the vote count is rising slowly enough that it lends credence to the idea that the people who are praising my pic aren't really voting what they indicate :(

Spiderman, just wanted to say hello to you. Good to see you back.

You're an old hand at dpc as well and seasoned enough to know that highly positive comments without a score shown should always be taken with a few grains of salt :) Doing so, you become even more seasoned (pun?).

I think sometimes people vote and then go back to comment on select entries. The votes causing the drop in score may be totally unrelated to the comments being entered at the same time.

That's the way I tend to do it - day one/two is spent scoring, the rest of the week adding comments. I usually try to comment on ones I have scored at the 'extremes', i.e. 2s, 3s, 8s and 9s, and then ones in the middle where I think a comment may help explain why I didn't score it higher.

Edit If you see your score go up or down slightly on the last day that's down to me too - last minute adjustments after I dithered for a week!

*nods* I also vote, commenting on any that I feel need a comment or where one springs to mind - then go back after voting and try to re-add comments on those I can if I have time (as will not be the case this week, likely - I will be away from the keyboard a good chunk of it).

My contrast score is slowly rising. However, considering where it started, that's not really improving my standing that much.... After looking at the other pics, though, it doesn't deserve to be where I want it to be. I've gotten some good comments, though - and seen things I might not have realized so quickly about the picture, before I joined this site.

Now if only I learn to spot those before entering the pic, next time. :)

My first submission is holding fairly steady at 4.1 and I'm sure some of those must be pity points :)I have received some very good pointers through comments though. I thought my picture was wonderful when I started. lol. Now after some kind critiquing I keep discovering more and more wrong with it. My main lesson seems to be that generally in photography, shadows are not our friends.

But hey, I have no where to go but up right? :)

My Contrast score has dipped so low that my file has deleted itself from the server out of kindness to me.

But I do actually think it is the most uncommentable image I've submitted yet - 88 votes, 1 comment!

My contrast entry started out around 6.8 and I thought this might be my first real chance at a ribbon...of course it dropped down to around 6.4, got re-ribbonized...
