Howdy...just wanted to warn everyone that Im back and with a few new toys too boot! I finally got my Dslr. I decided to go with the Cannon EOS 350D RebelXT. I got the "kit" lens15-55mm lens(I think) and begged the hubby to fork out a few hundred more for the 75-300mm lens. I am sooo totaly in love with it. Ive been taking shots of everything since I got it jan 15 trying to figure out all my settings. according to my first challenge back score in the abstract challenge(4.4) i need to play and learn alot more about it. Im just happy to be back and learning again!! I will post my photos as soon as the stupid phone company can figure out what they screwed up on my DSL line *rolls eyes* I hate having to "borrow" my sister-in-laws computer and internet but I just had to get back in the game.
I also got my christmas wish. which was to get to go home to Delaware and spend Christmas with my dad and sisters. I had a blast and took severl hundred photos(with my dimage Z1) which i will post a few soon too.
I hope you all had a great Holiday.

*P.S....Im crushed that no one thought to use me in the screen name challenge ;P ***hee-hee***

Welcome back Cher. I actually did think about using your nick in the Username challenge among a few others, it's a good one for that. But I didn't enter. Hope to see you knocking down some higher scores as you break in that XT. Maybe Country Life is your cup of tea.

I plan on looking into some Sigma lens's but i want a more macro lens than what i have so far. the 15-55 isnt too bad but i love to crawl right into a flower and get all the details of it. anyone have a good Sigma macro lens to suggest?

I was wondering what happened to you & checked out your profile page just a few days ago. I disappointed you didn't go Olympus, but I'm sure you'll "make do" with the Canon ;-).

Hope to see some good flower shots this spring.

Welcome back.'
