YES, sherpet is now in business, as my very first ten images, are now in "my portfolio" for everyone to see..... Please feel free to comment, as I need to know if I am on the right track.

I would not be here tonight, if it wasn't for quite a few DPC members, you know who you are.....so THANK-YOU.

I must personally thank hywind alias my friend Brian Riley, THANKS MATE, you are one in a million.....

Dear Sherryl: nice set of shots. I have left comments on some of them. My favourite is the one of the lighthouse.
You have commented some of my last shots in challenges and I appreciate that very much, and commenting yours is a way of "paying" for it. I'm not a great photog, but hope my comments will be useful to you.

Keep shooting and uploading.

You are getting a lot of milage out of a modest camera. You have nice images and I, for one, will look forward to seeing more images from your home.

Like the image above, I can see a lot of pixelation in the sky that would show up in prints. That could be caused by your cameras inability to capture smooth color tone transitions or it could be caused by "push" digital processing with large hue/sat or other color adjustments in 8-bit mode. In that case switching to 16-bit will help some.

Compositionally your shots are very nice. Were they all taken on the same excursion? What time of day was it? They all seem to suffer from rather harsh lighting. The best time of day I've found to photo stuff out and about is about 1 1/2 hours before sunset or after sunrise. Nice difuse golden lighting then...

All taken together, at around 1-2pm (low-tide) in the afternoon. it would have been about an hours drive from home/and half-hour walk for me, to get down to water edge from cliff face above. I can only do it at "low-tide", as you are not able to get there when it is "high-tide", as you would be washed away by the waves and ocean swell which would be well over my head.....Could be very dangerious.....

Hi Sheryll! Glad to see your portfolio is up and running. I left you comments on all of your images. It's the least I can do to show my appreciation of your contributions to this wonderful site ;)

Keep on clicking and yes I was one of the first few people to mark you as a fave even before you posted any images ;)

**hugs**
