This is my favorite B&W of my own that I've posted at DPC... I like it's dark mood.

T'is a great photo, I really like it. I think it could be rotated clockwise by a couple of degrees though. |

Looks surreal, but is that the real sky or is this a composite?
edit: never mind Steve, I just scrolled down a bit and realized it was submitted for a challenge.

Some of my personal favorites:
Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but I do so love black and white images |

Just look at my profile...most of what I've done here has been sepia or B&W...I like that type of processing (seems easier...probably because I am ignorant to just how complicated it is).
Anyway...

Recently tritoned b&ws to improve their 'creamy ness'. Not on my DPC site...sorry.

Just for the record... yes, it IS the real sky. Being an advanced challenge I processed the sky a little different to bring out the drama of the clouds.
I originally did this image for the March '04 free study challenge but did not enter it on the advice that voters would think it was "fake".
I kicked myself for it afterward because I really like it. I was granted a reprieve when the best of 2004 challenge came along and I got a second chance to submit it. :)
