The simple way to avoid confusion is with the design of your logo.
Often by have overlapping words using three colors or styles. Thus distinguishing each word seperately but uniting all three.
(this is just rough, but it gives you some idea as to how to take advantage of both words. I am not a graphic designer, but they know how to do such logos with [reasonable] ease)
And if rengim = "my color" then rengimage has inherent in it "my color image"

for my website //www.freewebtown.com/nelebronckaers I used dreamweaver to make the website itself. All the "lay-out" stuff like the titles were done in photoshop.
A neat little thing to make a gallery is //www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/ ---> Simpleviewer. I use it and a lot of photographers I know use it as well, for example //www.fallintoblue.com

Just go to GoDaddy.com. $9.20/year for the domain, but keep in mind that you then need to host it somewhere. |

Readyhosting.com offers plans at $99-$199, includes 500megs of space, unlimited email accounts and either ColdFusion (great web scripting language, simplest/easiest to learn and use) or .NET
There is a one time fee, but this includes domain registration and they keep it renewed for life so long as you host with them.

hi, well leave frontpage aside and go for dreamweaver :-)
it's simple enough to begin with and you'll have your website in minutes, than just tweeking and cosmetics ...
domain name is important in some way but in my opinion for personal web space or photo/image gallery it's not crucial ...
anyways i wish you luck and have fun, you can see my own work in my sig :-), it's written in php scripting language,
anyways ... just relax and click around dreamweaver it's cool !

Microsoft Publisher is even easier to use than FrontPage in my opinion. It has tons of templates you can choose from and pop in stuff and choose a different color/font scheme at any time and it changes all the pages for you. It doesn't look as good as Dreamweaver (which I've decided to start learning) but it's a good start. I use JAlbum for the photos, it's very easy to use and just pick a directory and it makes the album for you. I use Photo Watermark Pro for watermarks. That is also very easy.
Those are my two cents. My site isn't the greatest but it gets the job done for just being an amature as I am at this point.

I have a friend of mine that is in the commercial business of Website design and Hosting. While this doesn't quite fit the subject here, he is in the process of offering a Web Hosting package he calls (10,10). What this means is that he will host your site for $10 per month with 10 gb of storage. Great for photographers! In addition, "Coppermine Photo Gallery Software" will be included for an additional $10 per month. If you haven't seen this software or used it, you should! It is fantastic. If anyone would like to see Coppermine in action, please let me know.
NB This is not a commercial venture for me. He likes Dreamweaver and also thinks the latest version of Frontpage is not to shabby. I use this, and have had some pretty good results.

I had planned on staying out of the rest of this discussion, but after seeing it suggested, I can't help myself. Please DO NOT use Publisher to create web pages. It makes a bigger mess of HTML code than FrontPage used to (I understand the current version of FP does a much better job than it used to, but I'll never go back).
As far as ease of use, Dreamweaver is just as easy as FP. It's just laid out differently. I remember the first time I used it, it kind of felt like looking at the cockpit of a jet airliner; lots of panels, etc. But you can close down or collapse the things you don't need.
There are free WYSIWYG editors out there, too, that apparently do a pretty good job. I've just never used them, so can't comment. Also, don't a lot (most?) of the hosting providers out there have online web design apps available for free as part of the package? |

| I just bought domain hosting from GoDaddy.com. 5gb of space, 250gb transfer, 50 email accounts for $3.56/mo for 1yr. $1.99 domain name registration for 1yr when you order hosting. I got //www.mckphotography.com and a year of hosting for less than $45. |

Another good one for buying domain names is DomainSite.com. $8/year, with all the bells and whistles (name forwarding, email, DNS). Since you already have a hosted website (and an excellent one at that!), you shouldn't have to pay any new monthly fees. Just point your new domain name to your existing site. |

Dreamweaver is better for design.
Frontpage is much better for ad-copy changes/alterations.
Homesite is a superb text editor which tends to be the best thing IMHO to work in once you've created your template.
But a lot depends on personal preference combined with "tasks". If you're doing more design, than you're better off in a Dreamweaver. If you're updating a lot of ad-copy and text all the time. Well, Frontpage is nearly a word processor.
If you're coding an application and you need to do a lot of customization and optimization you'll find in the end that you spend most of your time in a text editor. |

I did mine (Photos4Aidan.com) using phpNuke, and I like the dynamic changes it does. Updating recent, popular, etc. Just have to upload the pics into a folder in Gallery (I still am needing to upgrade to 2.?) and they show up with all my cations, keywords, etc. I also added on the Cart feature for pics and also another just for clients to order through my site. Has worked wel the 5 times I have used it. they get to preview and choose the pics they want and then pays through PayPal or check/money order, etc.
I did alot of tweaking to phpNuke to get it the way I wanted it, but wasn't EXTREMELY complicated.

I've also just finished mine. I've been a Web Designer for 4 years and taking photos for about a 18 months. Finally managed to get my site done. Mine is more an extension of my business card as most of my work is through referrals. I'm not worried about Google finding me. There are that many photography sites that whether I end up on page 4734 or 4735 makes no difference to me :)
