| Anybody have any knowledge of these add on Fish eye lenses that piggy bacl your own lens? Are the ok or just a junk item? I need a fish eye and don't know anything about them |

I've never heard of the ones you're talking about, but you can get one of these lenses to fit your Nikon. They are manual focus, and won't send info to the camera, but your camera will still be able to get correct exposure by using Apeture priority mode. They are relatively inexpensive, and a good way to experiment and find out if you really like FishEye photography.

They are Russian and Ukranian made, and are available through importers in the US. You can also buy them on Ebay. I bought both of mine through KievCamera on Ebay.

| I don't know anything about the add-on lenses either, but for the price of the Peleng, you can't go wrong. |

The zenitar is a great ultra-wide on a crop-cam.
Another vote goes to the Zenitar (A friend has one. Thinking of getting myself one too) |

There is a wonderful Nikkor fisheye that is not a piggyback. It is made especially for digital and it's an actual lens. I have one and I love it. Why not go for that one? I know it's expensive but well worth saving for! Good luck with whatever you choose!

yea get the 10.5 nikkor lens.
zenitar's are soft and don't look very fisheye on the d70. |

If you want ultra fishy, get the Peleng. 8mm.

the peleng just makes you have to crop off black vignetted corners, the nikon fisheye fills the frame. peleng is no more distorted than the nikon after cropping. both are 180* fov.
oh yeah and getting a peleng is hit or miss as well...some are sharp, some aren't.

If you can't afford the Nikkor fisheye (I guess if you could you'd have already bought it :p), one good option is the Tokina 12-24 f/4. It's not a fisheye really, but goes wider than the Zenitar (16mm) for example. And from the reviews I've read I understand it's actually pretty decent piece of glass. Costs about $500 at B&H.
