Any suggestions? We're doing my daughter's Bat Mitzvah next month on a VERY LOW budget... so low its almost laughable. We have next to nothing set aside in the budget for photography.
One or two friends have offered to bring their digital cameras and take pictures at the ceremony and the party. This is very generous, and welcome.
My question is... Does anyone know of photography schools or similar facilities, in the SF Bay Area, where students might welcome the opportunity to shoot at a Bat Mitzvah ceremony and a subsequent pre-teenage party.
Compensation would basically be... undying appreciation from the host, some food and drink, and "experience" for the photographer. |

| No advice about a photographer but I would check into having your friends take photographs at a pre-ceremony practice session. |

As an adjunct to the "experience" you might see if the kids/parents would be willing to sign a limited release allowing the photographer to use the images (at least) in self-promotional materials. |
