I am having trouble getting my 20D to take vibrant life-like pictures. Everything seems to be just a little bland. I have changed the color temp to 5600 and played with the parameters a bit and I'm still am not having much luck. If you have a favorite setting or a custom setting that works well for you help me out! Any help would be appreciated.

Parameter 1 works pretty well... You're familiar with how you can program your own set1, set2, set3, right? So fiddle with more contrast, more saturation, more sharpness if Parameter 1 is still too weak for you. "Vibrant, life-like pictures" is a bit of an oxymoron, since by and large life is not vibrant, not color-saturated. If you're conditioned from heavily-shifted P&S images, your 20D images WILL look pretty blah. Then you fine-tune 'em in Photoshop; a boost in saturation and sharpness usually does the trick.

The best way to handle this is shoot RAW, and then set custom parameters for every image after you look at it.
