I am a soul-less, propagandist for "Big Oil" - er, I mean a communications manager for a global energy provider. My family calls me "a shrill for The Man".

I just got a brand new job! Finally after 7 years in hell! I just gave my 2 weeks notice on Monday and I can't wait to start my new job!

My new position is a "Solutions Engineer" with a major Internet player!

Congrats! Isn't giving a 2 week notice the BEST feeling in the world! I've been at my 'new' job for almost a year now and I'm STILL on cloud 9. Hope you end up with the same feeling in a year ...

I'm a public school orchestra teacher. After a long day at work, nothing sounds better than nothing (although my students do make some very nice music at times).

Did I already reply to this thread? I sort of teach.

Not a lot of people speak Norwegian, outside of Norway. The government decided that those who immigrate should learn the language. You get 300 free hours of teaching, or, if you're from outside of the industrial in-crowd territories, 300 compulsory hours of teaching.

I organise what's called a Norwegian workshop (norskverksted) in the afternoons, when people's brains have turned to putty so there's not a lot of use in staying in classroom format.

Kazhakstan, Burma, Ethiopia, Chile, Cuba, Argentina, Nepal, Vietnam, Mexico, Eritrea, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan etc etc - mostly these people are from war zones. Rightly or wrongly, they seldom if ever have kind words to say about the USA, especially the present regime. Forgive me if I make cynical comments on pictures of the US flag with things like 'honour' and 'freedom' as the title.

Not that you have to stop doing it or anything. :)

That's my job...
