They're big, and one of the oldest drug companies in the US. I think they are still one of the licit manufacturers of cocaine. I'm curious as to the current pricing if you happen to come across that info ....

My grandfather used to raise chickens, and my dad still has examples of avian medications they made. They also publish some standard medical books (look for The Merck Manual.

unemployed. I'm really glad I have that degree though (halway sarcastic).

Anyone know where they're hiring elementary school teachers? I hear about this huge need for teachers, but I can't seem to find a job anywhere near an area I'd want to work.

Right now I live in western Montana, but because they've closed a school or two in Missoula every job around here gets around 50 applicants. I also lived and substitute taught in the suburbs of Chicago. I thought about trying to get a job in the city, but to work in the schools there you have to live within the city limits. So, to be honest, I'm really not sure where I'd like to work. I was just venting ;) lol

Sounds like you should be in Sunny California. Jobs galore (they say - I'm not a teacher, so I have no first-hand experience).

Most of my adult life was spent as a full time mom, then I had my own business making replica antique teddy bears. When I needed to join the full time job, get benefits world, I became an office manager for an Indianapolis based hospital home care company. I transferred from there to the Human Resources department, and have recently transferred to an Administrative Assistant position to administration for one of their for profit businesses. Less money but less stress. Anyone else appreciate the less stress job?

I'm a corporate training developer -- multimedia specialist -- Instructional Design by title -- consultant -- for a decade now. Other than that, I am a happy housewife who loves taking care of my wonderful hubby (I really do -- he's that cool of a guy mostly because he doesn't expect it which makes it all the more fun)!

DougPaz -- I'd love to hear all about what you do and how you got involved! I'm so envious...
