molecular biologist. I'm getting tired of research, though. I miss teaching. ...and there's a whole lot more outside science I'd like to explore.

C/C++ programmer for a local game development company. Also freelance writer doing hardware reviews for local PC magazine. Hope to also become a freelance photographer too after learning enough and earning $$$ for a proper camera for the job.

I'm trying to freelance full-time and drop salaried professions, if you haven't noticed. ;)

wow, so cool. such a hog pog of professions. :o)

me: graduated with a degree in communications design. most people are like what? so you are in communications? then I tell them to put the emphasis on design. they give me a blank look and I resign myself to saying:

I am a graphic designer.

them: So why didn't you say that in the first place?

It consists of analyzing all body fluids from Blood,Cerebral Spinal Fliud, Urine, Fecal Matter, Sputum, and whatever other Fluid/Tissue that your doctor wants sent to the lab. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask I am more than willing to help.

I spent 12 years as a reactor operator in the nuclear power field (operations, maintenance, calibrations, quality assurance, technical writing, etc). I spent 4 years of that teaching and certifying others as reactor operators.
Then... I got divorced, gave away everything that didn't fit in my car, and moved to Colorado (no job, never been there before...just showed up one day).
I worked at Starbuck's long enough to meet my wife and get married. Then we bought a house and decided to have kids, so I had to get a real job instead of a fun job. I've now been with Applied Mechanical Consulting Group for 6 1/2 years as a Project Manager in Quality Assurance, Construction Management, Industrial Scheduling (Primavera Project Planner), etc for clients like Intel, LSI Logic, Vitesse Semiconductor, Micron, Atmel, Agilent Technologies, etc.

Things have been slow in Colorado Springs, so I spent six months near Washington DC and I've been back and forth to Santa Clara, CA several times. My oldest of three boys starts Kindergarten next month, so we will not be travelling anymore for work (we always went together, all five of us). I need a speedy recovery in the semiconductor and biotech/pharmaceutical industries here in Colorado, otherwise I'll be unemployed soon! If so, I intend to build custom furniture, jewelry boxes, clocks, cutting boards, etc. and sell them here (I've already begun doing this on a limited basis with five outlets for my work), as well as sell photography, do some portraits, etc. I'm also thinking of starting a web based store for woodworking and photos. ...maybe I'll go back to Starbuck's??? I'm waiting to see what will happen! :)

I'm thinking of going back to school for nuclear medicine, radiological technician, or sonnographer... Anyone in those fields with any advice??
