I'm looking for good shots that could illustrate risk or risk management topic. I'm willing to buy the best of them. Unfortunately even on Getty Images the choice of this subject is not astonishing. Risk is usually illustrated by fire, etc. I need something more subtle.

Any suggestions?

take some wedding photographs, wedding is the biggest risk i took.

ROTFL :)

Unfortunately, this kind of pictures would've been too subtle for the topic :)

Rennie, are you looking for risk shots that relate to personal lines insurance, or commercial lines insurance? ie. icy walkway in front of a home, or more like chemicals stored improperly?

Not sure if this fits (but it works as a shameless plug)

I have one of a toddler ready to tip over a pot of boiling (something or other) on the stove. It was a cover photo for a health journal, so I would have to make sure it can be reused. Is that the type of risk?

Let me clarify that the child was not put at risk in the photo (although he sure liked playing with the knobs on the stove!)

What about a woman wearing a mascarade mask..........

I have a series of women in mascarade, and painted. They invoke "risk" and mystery.

There was a great one of someone seeming "falling backwards" off a ledge. I forget what challenge it was in.

Here are a few others that might be of interest.

See if you can get this one. It's hard for me to imagine a better depiction of risk.

Took this one on Tuesday 27th Dec, it was cold, snowing on and off, and cloudy.
The train hurtled past about 2 foot to the left of me.
enjoyed it though.

Imagine if that critter had jumped....

(imagine capturing THAT on film, then there is the debate...did you just capture something horrific, moment's before the animals death...or did you at least give it some value in it being forever memorialized. Which would be worse? to have captured it... or to have to say "yup 30 seconds later the little guy committed capracide"

Yes, it fits. I wonder, whether the ligtning will be visible in printing?

This one is the closest. I'll check your portfolio closer (it's long time I've been searching it), but if you have something similar outside of DPC let me know.

It's a great picture. If it was a direct shot, it would've been excellent, but probably you won't be able to run in time :)

I wonder whether some editing (cropping probably) wouldn't give it more "direct" look?

Great timing for sure. There is "something" in it. I have to think about it.
