spoiler?? its a live game! worldwide!
06/09/2006 12:21:56 PM · #77
Or even better, we could consolidate the World Cup stuff to one thread, save the play-by-play for ESPN and people who are in different timezones could just put it on ignore.

i'm afraid i'm going to have to cheer against you next match, though. my wife and i sponser two kids in ecuador, which kinda trumps coffee...

You should have tried shooting at the goal some more. From what I could read in the match stats, you shot 3 times, twice towards the goal, and both times it went in!

Congratulations!!! Well deserved win!! I can imagine the party going on right now over there.

I visited Ecuador in 1998 and participated at the Guayaquil Choir Festival, also spent some time in Quito and other parts of your country. We even made it to the top of Chimborazo!! I had a great time and Ecuadorians made me feel right at home.
So again, congratulations!!

I didn't watch the match, but I just woke up at 4 am and couldn't resist finding out the score. 3-1 to Australia - exactly what I'd said it would be. The teachers at school will be amazed st my prediction.

Ah, yes. Those were the days. Just kick the ball real hard forward and hope somebody's there to do something with it. The farther you kicked it, the cooler you were.
