I believe...
Every Christmas when I sit with my family... I believe....
When I look at my pregnant daughter snug in her husband's arms... I believe....
When I get hugs from those I love whether they're blood family or in my heart family... I believe....
When I hear the voices of other Family on the phone.. I believe...
When I see a cold shivering bellringer whos stood at that kettle for 4 hours with little more than a quarter in it .. I believe...
when I see people colecting food for those who cant afford it...
I believe...

ditto!

On the other hand, I still believed in Santa even though he wouldn't be coming to my house. I used to stand up on my bed on Christmas Eve and stare out my window for a long time hoping to get a glimpse of him. I was a weird kid; I'm also a weird adult. (Weird Warped Wendy seems fitting)

I've never stopped. For me he's the ultimate metaphor for the gift of giving.

It never entered my mind that he could be real.

[quote=stormy] I saw rudolph when I was little!!!

Thats Kinda crazy, because I still vividly remember looking out the window, and my mom saying" There it is, don't you see it?" And I remember seeing it? I am sure it was a plane or something, but that was a night I'll never forget. P.S. this was last year! Hehehe! Happy Holidays!

I did not hear about Santa until I was about 15 or 16, I think. At that age I was looking forward to other things, like teen girls.

Is it bad that I still occasionally want one in my stocking?

So where is the "proof"? All you would need is a photo with the sled & stuff on a snow covered roof - wonder where somebody could find one of those in a photography/photoshop forum :looking around nerviously: :-)))

Santa is real!
Santa is real!
Santa is real!
I see him on display on the shelf of a gift shop.
I held him up and gave him a hug
when squeezed he would go, "ho ho ho"
So I know he is real.
Santa is real!
Santa is real!
Santa is real!

I have no idea whether Santa Claus is real or not...but I'm still a true believer in good old Hanuka Harry.

I was or 10 or 11, I got a train from Santa and the engine died. I went with my dad to Mongomery Wards and stood in line and when he got to the counter he told the clerk something like, "I bought this and it didn't work but for 2 weeks, can we get a replacement". I WAS INCREDULOUS!! I blurted out "YOU"RE SANTA CLAUS?" He very quickly shushed me and made me promise not to ruin it for others. (namely siblings, all younger than I)

I tend to think of Santa now, as an adult, as more like a "spirit of ....." Like Club Juggle's story below. If you still believe, he still exists. If you don't believe he won't bring you a thing!

I also have a "new" Santa, today he bought me a new (used) car! (myself, BTW)

Edit: now if Santa would only bring me typing skills....

No, I'm not saying I was an especially clever child or anything. I just never thought about him as a real person. Perhaps because we never talked about Santa in our house I just never thought about him.

I know Santa is real. Every year NORAD in Colorado Springs tracks him. That's how I always know when to get to bed. :)
