Mine is from a mysterious character in Georgre R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series.

It's always available as a user name....imagine that.

Mine goes back to school years. Some said I was always giggling and bubbly in a magical way yet shy. Thus they named me Shiiizzzam. Everyone called me Shiz.

Well, we have ferrets and since ferrets are sometimes called Fuzz butts, I am MrsFuzzButt and have been for about 8 years now. :-)

I got married about the same time those freaky Teletubbies came out, and thought I was being creative with Telehubbie for my screename on AOL. I soon found out that it was harder to pick up ladies in chat rooms with that as a screename. -only kidding about that last part of course!

Mine was started back in 1987 at a bar. NTN trivia had just been added to the sports bar in my neighborhood and I needed a good handle. Since I wanted a name that showed that I knew all, and didn't want to use the normal spelling of Delphi, I messed around until I found a spelling that I liked.

Of course, several years later I found out that delphi is pronounced with a long "e" sound instead of a long "i" sound. I didn't want to change it because I use it everywhere.

I chose mine based on an experience I had with networking some computers one day.

A LAN (local area network) in San Francisco REquires ED.

Ed was a good guy. Knew his stuff about networking, that's for sure.

Aguapreta = Water black (literal) or more commonly, Black Water. It is Portuguese and is the name of a small community in the Amazon jungle that I often visit... easy for me to remember and not taken by anyone else:)

Gosh, these are great and so inventive. I like the ones that are so original they are never "taken" when a screenname is needed. (My NTN name was Teaszer after the Coconut Teaszer in Hollywood.)

I was curious to see whether that would make anyone suspicious! :)

The Saj....

Well about 10 yrs ago in college I had a friend Eric Murray. I in my whimsical fashion reversed it to Yarrum Cire. He then reversed mine and I became Nosreppe Nosaj.

5 yrs later I was in college and we had to get a Yahoo account for the class. Well, no variant of Jason existed (I hated NAME+38274@yahoo.com type emails). Finally, I tried jasonosaj@yahoo.com AND IT WORKED!!!!)

Later when I started DJ'ing I needed a good stage name. DJason was too corny for anything but a lounge DJ. *lol*

Then I thought about doing my name backwards. DJ Nosaj...but then this vision appeared of being on stage and being introduced mistakenly as DJ Sausage (being a short, rotund italian with low-self-esteem the results would have been disastrous). Furthermore, if I ever got popular it'd be very confusin hearing fans shout "NOSajNOSajNOSaj". (And human group think is strong. If people think people hate someone and they've had 3 beers they will join in and hate the person cause the whole crowd is doing it and the three beers told them to do it too.)

So I decided to drop the "no" and go just with "Saj". Originally "DJ Saj" but then I realized I was being redundant. They know I am a DJ. So I went with just "The Saj"

I like that one. Similar concept: when we were kids my little brother got a customized book with all of us in it as characters. At the end of the story he had to use the magic words "notserp noj" to save the day
