What do you think it will take to win this puppy?

I would guess about a 7.2

Looks like a few people missed a detail in the challenge-- the ARTIFICIAL part. The sun is not an artificial light source.

Oh well, I'll start voting tomorrow. Looks like there are lots of good ones. I'd guess it'll take a 7 or so to win...

Dude, mine is tanking. I thought it was considerably better than my triptych (although this is only my second challenge and I'd be happy with a 50% or above), and with 2 votes it's at a 3.5. With no comments explaining why, either. People, PLEASE comment if you give a low vote; it's the nice thing to do, and it's even in the site guidelines.

I'm turning off the update for a while and voting/commenting. There are some FANTASTIC images in this challenge, no two ways about it.

Hi, I'm new to the site.. I'm curious as to how you all are seeing the scores and I'm not? Just trying to figure it all out.. Thanks..

Hi Bullie. If you are a paid member you can get your update refreshed every minute instead of having to wait for the whole hour.

So we are watching the clock tick and hitting refresh. LOL

Welcome. I am new here as well. This is the third challenge.

Its the scores of the entries we made and not the scores of each photograph, you can only see the final scores when the voting is over

Yes Bullie, and then you can enter more challenges as well. that was my main reason. I need something to give me a kick in the caboose to keep me shooting.

Bassman, that's why I paid as well -- the extra challenges (although I only found out tonight that you can't enter two exclusive ones at once. I'm beginning to think I should have entered the camouflage one instead).

By the way, I turned the update button back on. So my resolve lasted, what, fifteen minutes? Up from a 3.5 to a 4.4 in three votes, which means probably two sixes and a five, cause I doubt there was a seven or higher involved. Better than a 4 and a 3, which I had before.

Question: Is it a good or bad thing when almost everyone that views your photo gives you a score? Does that mean that they "get it" which is good? Or that it does not really strike their interest so they just give you a score and keep going?

I noticed in triptych (my first challenge, so you know how much of an expert I am) that early on, votes and views were very close, but they spread out as the challenge went on -- so maybe people go back to your image and look again? or maybe the later voters aren't as "serious" as those of us who hang around discussing our scores on the first night of the challenge ;) and so they are less inclined to vote on everything?
