Inspired by this thread, I'm asking for help as well. My partner and I are expecting. It's four months away, but we're beginning to build a names list. We don't know the bub's sex, and we're keen to NOT find out. So boys and girls names, please, to go with our last names (mine's Go, and hers is Burns).

We're open to letting the child deal with some abuse in his or her future life. We're open to have him or her take on either mine or my partner's last names. We're close to striking a deal that if it's a girl, it'll have mine, but if it's a boy, hers.

Some from our existing list (I'm more keen than my partner is to curse the child, so we've thought mostly of my last name):
Frida Go (free to go)
Van Go (hehe)
Eaton Go (eat and go)
etc...

Any suggestion?

ed: if you actually name your child any of these, you deserve to be called names every day of your life for as long as they are in school.

Okay Go

Smokey Burns,

Ezily Burns

Stayor Go,

Ivanna Go,

I also like the idea of having 2 words that are only mildly related (ala Peakaboo Street):

Camera Go / Burns,

Ash Burns,

Sun or Sunny Burns (or Go),

Kelvin Burns,

I have more - but gotta work (Gotta Go!!!).

How about:-
Fire (Burns)
Third Degree (Burns)
Wash Anne Go
Pack Anne Go
SaGo Burns (double-barrelled surname- very British!)
PoGo Burns

If you choose any name like this, your child will have HELL in school and life! They will probably divorce you ass parents as soon as they legally can and would have every right to do so!!!!!!
:)))))

Heh heh...
The child will know tae kwon do by age 4, and will defend him/herself well whenever s/he gets called anything that resembles a punny name.

I just thought of another one...

Don Go...

Onetoo thri Go. Ayit Burns.

Just some exotic names.

On a more serious note, John Burns sounds good and Layle Go sounds good as well.

That's horrible Ennil! I actually knew a brother and sister named Wan and Tu (yes, I was looking for Three somewhere in there).

Anyway, how about if it's a boy, name him Will Go and if it's a girl, name her It Burns? That way if she turns out to be a supermodel, people can say, "Oh yeah, she's the It girl." :)

Ok - I've given this more thought ...

RESIST the TEMPTATION! to get too clever and corny ...
That wil sound better in the long run
go with subtle ... yet unique -- :

Names that roll of the tongue might be better than those that make people snicker.

---OK changed my mind:

Smokey Burns ...
Calla Go is also one that I think sounds neat.

Alright I've become obsessed.

It's a good thing I don't have kids... I'd make their lives miserable right off the bat by naming them. :p

Gee, glad you like the name John Burns. I do too...of course, that IS my name! John Charles Burns to be exact. Very distinguished. :) And Chad is just a nickname for Charles.

Don't forget: Side Burns and Stoppen Go

Ok, on a serious note... um... what about a long first name since the last ones are a single syllable? Or a single syllable first, long middle and single last.... ok, I"m pondering. More later
