If you want to track the usage of names over the last 100+ years, go to NameVoyager. My niece used it to name my great-nephew just last week. Well, she looked at it, she ended using Joshua (a family name.)

Camron

A great photography name!
"camera - on" ... that's what my 7 month old must always be thinking whenever I'm around!!! :)

I noticed you are from the UK:

Here's a link that mentions Camron:

What happens if he is not named by the deadline date? Does the state name him on your behalf? LOL!

In Iceland it's not uncommon to have children named around 3 months old (when they are babtised), don't even think we have a deadline...

You should name him Leif or Leifur like I did, as that is the name of the guy who "found" America...

It must be hard picking a name, I remember when we decided. I personally also have red hair and if my son had red hair he was going to be Aiden Scott, which I think is a great name. If he grows up and doesn't like Aiden he can use Scott. Good Luck, I will be very curious until we see baby's name.

Here is a very cool name tracker, it needs java to run and it's for the US, but I be you have one like it in the UK?

yeah maybe you can check with the major camera companies and see if they'll give you free stuff if you name him after their equipment. I can see it now...Hi, this is my wife, my son Canon Mark II and my daughter Canon Eos-20D. lol

Jon,There are lot of lovely suggestions here but please remember that some American names do not fit well into the culture here in England! Remember this young man will peobably be going to school and work in the UK and will have to live with this moniker!
If it is an odd spelling he will always have the problem of everyone mis-spelling it, if it is the same initials as you, your post will get mixed up when he is older and if it can be for a boy or a girl ( or indeterminate) then he will have to affirm his gender !

Think carefully!

BTY after looking again I favour Daniel ( Daniel James Lucas- or Dan Lucas as a man!)

I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions on a name but I do have a couple ideas to get your short list broken down. First of all check the initials for wierd combinations. My initials are MPH, miles per hour, I got a lot of picking for that. Then try and see if there are nicknames that you might want or not want, like Michael, Mike or Mikey. If nothing else put them all in a hat and make someone else pick one, you'll quickly see if you really like that one or not, cause you'll either accept it or reach for the one you really like deep down. I hope this helps a little, Good luck.

Alternatively just steal a famous person's name ... Ziggy or Sky. Or a sportsman's name ... mmm ... London ... football ... how about Bobby Geoff Martin Lucas.

Cheers
Tony

Whatever you do, do not name him "slippy"!

When in doubt, Jon Jr.

I like brandon or scott if you want to go with more tradtional names....some people really like them. for me though I'm not a big fan of them.

if he were my son (I would run....I'm not ready to have a child at 18....lol jk) I would go with names like

1. Slaiden (slay-den)
2. Tristin
3.Spenc

If you'd like a Texas name, use Dallas, Austin, Tyler, Houston, or even Amarillo if you're feeling brave...or you could go with Jim Mack, Joe Fred, Tom Ed, Billy Joe, Ed Earl, or any other combo of two names (less is expected of those called by two names, according to legend). ;)

You could try some of the names the girls in my program come up with for their children...but I never can remember to spell them right. Some recent names have been Zy'Kythien, My'Kharious, Ke'vontyus, Rhy'brécia and Zaida.
