Yeah, well maybe it wasn't that great ... maybe I'll post a link and see if re-shooting is worthwhile.

Can someone post some examples of Transparency please?
10/24/2005 03:32:47 PM · #15

How about this?
10/24/2005 03:42:34 PM · #16
I am going to take this to mean more translucent than transparent.

trans·par·ent adj.
1. Capable of transmitting light so that objects or images can be seen as if there were no intervening material. See synonyms at clear.

trans·lu·cent adj.
1. Transmitting light but causing sufficient diffusion to prevent perception of distinct images.

I agree.
(BTW, transparent and translucent will never be equivalent to me. You (skylen and anyone else) can take the challenge to mean "opaque" if you want to, but re-writing the challenge description in this thread won't really help you with the majority of the voters.)

KaDi you are due for a ribbon
10/24/2005 04:34:04 PM · #20
So does this mean that any picture will do? The lens is transparent and is between the subject and the sensor on my camera. Therefore any picture I take is an example of transparency. Basically this is a Free Study? :-)

You can tell the first challenge was a long time ago, the American flag actually took the ribbon. :-)

"Description: Use transparency to create the impact of your photo this week."
Absolutely, you just go ahead and create the impact of your photo with that special little skylight filter and knock our socks off! :p

Is it part of our service agreement that we have to vote a ribbon to pictures of water drops on glass reflecting an object behind the glass?
