I went to Victoria last weekend with some friends for the Great Canadian Beer Festival and I thought I would share some of my photos of the city with you. These are taken around the harbor and Beacon Hill Park. I couldn't quite get back in time to post a photo for the current challenge so feel free to give me some feedback on any of these photos, please. I was considering either Dsc09830 or Dsc09849 for the Photojournalism challenge.

I LOVE 09726! I think 09830 or 09825 would have been great for this weeks challenge. :-)

I would have rated #30 higher for this challenge --has a very nice feel to it. I was in Victoria for 1 day probably more than 20 year ago; it still looks really nice, altough I think I like Vancouver better (or used to, anyway).

I live in Victoria and have to say that these are terrific...makes me look at the city a bit differently. If it's in your own backyard you often overlook things. I've gotta get out more and take some photos of the city. I have been planning a night shot from the 09744 shot position, lower down on the causeway. At night there are lights on the legislature, and if the inner harbour is very calm (almost always) there's a really nice reflection going on.

I was also in Victoria BC on the weekend taking photos at the inner harbour. We might have passed like ships in the night!!! LOL Very nice scenes, a few of which are very similar to ones my friend and I took. Isn't it a supurb location!

I took some night shots when I was there 2 years ago and since I only had a tiny tripod with me this time I decided to focus on the daytime phots. Plus, I think I mentioned we were sort of enjoying the beer festival at night : )
