Religious icons tend to do poorly in challenges for a number of reasons. Therefore, I thought it might be intersting to see them in a different setting. Let's see some of your most interesting shots of religious nature. (Notice it is NOT limited to a strictly Christian perspective, but let's not have dog poop posted as a new religion okay? Sheesh..I've been around here too long - I'm getting cynical!)

Here's an interesting "roadside attraction" in my area. It was one of my Photo-a-Day shots way back in February. There is more information and other shots of it at the bottom of the link's page. It's even listed in the "Roadside America" site.

How about what happens to someone who doesn't turn to God?

Neat effect. Your photo reminds me of a bumper sticker "Which do you choose for eternity...smoking or nonsmoking?" Or something like that. I'm not evangelizing, I just thought it was clever, and your photo reminded me of it!

I also have several "inspirational" type prints available that are in my portfolio. But they are mainly NOT photos of religious type items, just Bible verses matched up with other photos...sort of like the hands in the post above.

Anyway...a few more of mine that are of religious nature:

Kinda funny. Don't go to church but stopped by what we call the Grotto. Pretty cool place. In the middle of town on a hill side. Has about mile long trail of different statues

Ok this was during last years Tsunami - I was in Trincomalee doing Medical relief camps. On the way home I saw this - the sea is just about 6 feet away from the Bhuddha statues, and all the houses on the opposite side away from the sea (150 meters away) were washed away.Miracle
