Oh boy. :( No score yet, but I think my view of the challenge was in the definite minority.

I really thought I had done something pretty decent for this challenge. Not a ribbon, but maybe a top quartile finish. After browsing all the thumbnails, I also thought it was fairly unique. Oh well, what the heck do I know!!!!

Many of the entries missed the nature of the theme IMO. I also don't care too much for the ones that had to be "minipulated" to acheive "personification". JMOOC

Yes but that's only 7 votes. I've seen my scores plummet like a sack of potatos. Did you enter?
10/12/2005 12:48:19 AM · #17
Wow your votes are a lot higher than the pride challenge so far. Send your voters our way. :p
10/12/2005 12:50:20 AM · #18
wow, started at 8+ and i'm down to 5.1.... i guess people don't like my entry that much :( got nothing to do with the picture quality, its 'cause of the interpretation of the challenge...

I'd gladly trade you my 3.6 for your 5.5. I've had it ... I'm going to bed. I can't stand seeing a score like this.

I think this will hurt some pics. I feel the challenge was misunderstood by most entries. "Personification occurs when inanimate objects are endowed with human qualities or represented as possessing human form or personality." This does not necessarily mean that it must look human.

With that said, I've got a big fat whopping 5.

Oh well I like it anyway. My one comment asks how it is personification. I think it is.

Same comment on mine, but it does try to show how an emotion feels using an object that is not alive. Hence personification

I have voted on all shots, now will come bak and comment on shots but the very manufactured shots(drawn faces or stuff assembled to look like a face) did poorly and shots using animals and works of art that are of humans did poorly in my book as it is aginst the spirit of the contest
