Like a lot of people, I waffled back and forth on which photo to submit for the macro challenge.

Here is the one I submitted: Negativity Sucks! - (Option 2)

And here is the one that almost submitted: Negativity Sucks! - (Option 1)

So the question is this... which one would you have rated higher, and why?

Thanks for your help in making me a better photographer.

I really liked the one you submitted. The black and the metallic look is what makes me like it the most. I would have rated the original at least 2 points lower. I just like the colours alot better in the submission.

I think you submitted the better of the two pictures.

Danny, there is something strange about the photo. To me the inverted photo looks like the normal one and the normal photo (the one with black background) looks
like it was inverted! Very strange ;-) I like the one you submitted more, because of its futuristic look.

Yup, I'd have to agree. The 'inverted' image which you posted is the better of the two. (It just seems more natural for some reason.)

Thanks for all the comments. I would guess that it's more natural looking because the object they are sitting on in the inverted one is black. We tend to see this as more 'normal'.

Thanks again,
