My beautiful wife and best friend, passed away on Sunday 9 / 11 / 05.
She was only 42 years old.
Diane (alias Tasha4paws) contracted breastcancer four years ago, our son Ryan was three months old.The diagnosis was made on 9 / 11 /01, the very day of the greatest tragedy the world had known, we watched the twin towers fall along with our whole world.
Diane vowed to beat the cancer, had radical surgery, and intensive chemo, with all the pain and suffering that entails.
We thought she had won and 2 years later after taking stock of our lives, we decided to leave Britain in search of a better life.

We moved to New Zealand, the most beautiful, and friendly place on the planet, we would stand on the top of TE-Mata peak and breath the raw stuff of life.
Dianes' cancer came back, in her bones, incurable,How long?. 5 months-5 years, nobody knew.
For the last year we have been in and out of hospitals, yet Diane would still take her camera, she became unable to walk, yet still had hope and determination.
After all her trials and pain, the cancer spread to her brain, we were given weeks.
Diane passed away Quietly, in my arms, exactly 4 years to the day after her first diagnosis.
Te Mata peak..

Diane sat on this beach most weekends watching Ryan on the sand.

Diane leaves behind,Myself, her beloved son Little Ryan aged 5, and two step children, Christina and Alex.

Our world is empty without her.

Chris, loving husband and father.

My condolence is humbly offered. My prayers are with you. These are the times that I grope and grope for words and my thoughts fall short. This is an aspect of life that touches us all and when it does our entire thought structures crumble. certainly a low ebb. Again, my prayers are with you and your family. May she rest in peace.

Having gone thru this myself, I know how you feel, and realize your pain at this time. I lost my wife 3 years ago on 8/12/02 at the age of 34. She was diagnosed in November and died the following August. Women with breast cancer are strong and no matter how bad it got Debby always showed bravery that I never felt I could.

I have walked in 2 3-DAY Breast Cancer walks, and am soon to run in the Susan G. Komen 5k. I hope that the little money I can raise can somehow find a cure for this terrible disease.

May God bless you and your family as you go through the pain and reconstruction of your life without your wife.

Please contact me if you ever need to talk.

Thank you all DPC fans,I feel that I know some of you in a fleeting way, Diane and I often stayed up late choosing editing and deciding on entries.
DPC was a great diversion at critical times, it helped us more than you will know. Dianes second DPC entry was a photo of the tea mugs we had used on our return home from the specialist, after the bad news.

I will try to keep up to date and submit pics, when I feel up to it.
Maybe someone could tell me if I could carry on adding to Tashas' existing portfolio?

Chris.

Chris, I am so sorry for your lose. To have the ability to put in words what you have is amazing. In this time of lose, the one thing to remember is that you have lots of support in your 3 children and you all need to be there for each other. Your wife is in a better place and is no longer in pain. She will watch over you and your children for the rest of your lives. God bless you and your family. You are in my prayers!!!

I wept silently as I read that tribute to your spouse. Seldom does a message in this medium carry with it the true feelings of its author, but your love could be readily felt.

My deepest condolences on your tragic loss. My prayers go out to you and your family.
