I had this submitted first, then I changed it for some unknown reason.

Judi: your entry is definitely better than the second one. I'm torn between the first and your entry - but I think you made a good choice.

Thanks so kindly. It does seem that the first image is very popular...that actually surprises me. I thought her sidewards look would have been off putting to viewers. But I am pleased to be proven wrong.

My 2nd Pick

The longshot
Did I make the right choice? I thought she looked best in the submission, but as an overall picture maybe the others have more interest?

This one looks best to me. I gave it a 7. I'm suprised you didn't place higher.

I stuck this in another thread but this thread is active...

I'd like to thanks those who commented during the challenge. After I started getting some feedback I realized that my crop didn't make much sense for a "Portrait" challenge even if I liked the photo the way it was. I also didn't realize that I should have been using my flash because my model was a bit dark. I originally stopped using it that day for the shadow cast but this could have been fixed by moving the model further from the wall; too far, though, and she would have been in the overhead sun. Anyway, I wanted to share some of the other photos I took that day. Too many of them had lines and bits of dirt that I didn't think people would ignore.

You can see all of the photos from the shoot in my portfolio here. Here are some of what I liked more:

Any thoughts? Thanks, gang.
