I've been checking dpchallenge for quite a while now, stunned by the beautiful pictures of you guys. I never had the guts to submit my entry, until now, finally!

I suppose we have to wait until the 20th to check out the other entries?

09/18/2005 10:29:45 AM · #2
Yep, the wait is the worst. Good luck though!

I wish you luck! Try to not let the time drive you nuts, sometimes it feels like the longest week of my life till voting is over!
Just have fun with it!!

Welcome biteme! I am fairly new also and whilst it is a bit scary entering your first challenge, before you know it, your camera will be attached to your car keys and you will never go anywhere without it! :) Best of Luck to you!

thanx troberge!

the only thing that was truly difficult, and of what I was a bit insecure of, are the limitations in editing the photo. but on the other hand, it makes me think about what I'm doing with my camera in my hands ;)

bite me- Just jump in with both feet and don't look back. If you get lots of criticism, take it, learn from it and do better on your next shot. After the scores are posted, I love to read how people managed to attain certain looks and I'm learning from that as well.

WELCOME!!

Judy, I'm familiar with criticism (other forums) but DPC is in my opinion the highest photochallenge-level (know what I mean?) that's why I'm a bit insecure about it.

but hey, I think it's gonna be allright.. hope so ;)

thanx for welcoming me!

Question I'am new here and perhaps would like to enter the comp for bubbles. But my problem is I don't have the shutter speed etc. does that disqualify me than. Tried looking it up but have lost the info on it.

if your photo is questioned or verification requested, yes you will need the EXIF information. Without it you could be disqualified. How id you lose the data? Did you save over your original or something like that?
09/20/2005 04:07:44 PM · #16
Your camera will have all that in the exif data for your shot. You can find free exif utilities on the web if you need them. iphoto exposes that information. Photoshop does too, but it seems to have issues for me, maybe I don't have it set up right.

And you don't have to put that info in anyhow.

I'm one step behind you biteme. I've been lurking for a while, just signed up a bit ago, and am waiting to enter my first challenge! Haven't done it yet. Is it a complicated process? Good luck!

How exciting, be sure to post to the scores thread for it, and good luck! I'm in the Thirds challenge.

good luck to you with your first entry...the post processing, painful as it may seem does fall in place after a while :)
looking forward to seeing your work..

Yasemina, I think it will go flawless after posting some other challenges and it's only a good thing to learn how to make the perfect shot at once. Just something I have to get used to!

I surely will Strikeslip! I'm very curious, but after a nights sleep I'll check it out tomorrow :D

Cor, no, it's not very complicated, just enter all data you have to enter and you'll be fine :)

OMG I am so excited (do I need to get a life?) about this challenge... I can hardly wait to see what happens... I think I've shot an excellent photo, but I think that for each challenge, then my bubble gets popped (pun intended)... so we'll see what all the DPCers think of this one...

Com'on midnight!!!

TeeQ know what you mean cant wait for the rollover to see what else is entered - I think I have a good shot but then the voting starts and I see all the other awesome work and go OH No my shot sucks! maybe not this time.
