| I'm really confused. I entered the Bubbles challenge and have a great entry for Rule of Thirds, but when I tried to submit it, it said I had already entered an exclusive challenge and I couldn't enter this one. I can't find anywhere where it says you can only enter one. Is it either or? It must be. AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH |

It's one or the other, not both. Sorry, that's not clear on the actual challenges, it was only mentioned in the announcement. We're working on clearing that up.

You can pull your bubble submission and enter the Rule of Thirds.

I had exactly the same issue (had to pull my thirds submission to put in the bubbles submission)... what's the point of that? Is there concern about too many entries? Why would there be "exclusive" challenges... ?

As I suggested in the announcement thread, there should be some sort of note added to the rules section or somewhere for those challenges while this idea is new. Otherwise there are going to be a ton of people who haven't read the announcement thread (it's already fallen off the bottom of my homepage), work really hard on both challenges, and then are very dissapointed when they can't submit to both.
I think this is a great way to reduce the overwhelming number of entries in the open challenges, but it needs to be clear to everyone what is happening. Announcing it in the forums doesn't seem like the best way to do that in my opinion. People who didn't get a chance to read that forum or are new to the site aren't going to have any clue that you can only enter one. |
