Hey everyone! My new website is up and rocking, we're getting a lot of attention from it and I think it is time to unveil for the DPC crowd, give it a look and let me know what you think!

Side note: It is all flash (you can download flash from macromedia.com) and we're having a bug with the volume control so you'll need to use the speaker volume on you PC (sorry!).

The address is:www.krisdamicophotography.com

cabedge built this for you? It is a little slow loading. I like your photography and the site is easy to navigate.

Edit to say I didn't hear the sound as I have no speakers (for a reason) connected to my computer.

Yeah, I'm an old college friend with one of kids at cabedge. His wife is actually one of my models (Lynn under fashion).

Sent you a PM with two things I noticed. I really like the site though, its definitly different from most other gallery pages I've seen.

I do really like the site and the photos, but it depends on what audience you're aiming towards. I think the experience is more about the design than the photos themselves (ie: the fancy flash design and music draw a lot of attention, in my opinion).. do you know what I mean?

Nice site, i was turned away saying i don't have flash when i tried to view using foxfire. It worked using IE though.

Did you design the site?

I do see what you are saying, thanks for the comment; the music may a little over the top. :) I do feel the design needs the photography for the site to work. And, the overall experience does become more important than the individual pieces on this site. But how many black background, gray bordered thumbnail, websites, with little java script menus do you see? Not that those sites are bad or poorly designed, I really felt compelled to work to create something different, yet still have the site showcase professional quality work!

Very true. It's definitely a nice design - maybe eliminating (or toning down) the music somehow would make the experience a bit more manageable for those of us who get overwhelmed by such things :P

I think the picture size could be bigger. But I guess you are going for the 800x600 screen croud

I am more worried about the "screen capture" image piracy. All of the images on the site have been paid for and licensed to someone for a usage fee. It would be unfair to them for me to display the images large enough to be "borrowed" by someone whom didn't pay for the shoot! I do agree though they would be nicer a little larger. Thanks for the views and responses!

I have cable and it's very slow loading. I tend to bail on slow loading Flash sites rather quickly.

Hmm, What kind of processor are you running? The site was designed with DSL in mind so it should (should being the word of the week) scream on a cable modem. Thanks for the input.

Wow.. I came upon this site this morning, and it looked a little familiar. Then, I realized that while browsing Craigslist last night, I found a link there! I think it's a very artsy design and well done, but the music might be a bit too much.. I usually don't stay long at websites with music (personal preference, though)

The 1st thing I did was have to find the mute button for the sound...

I play music on my PC as I work and having a site blairing at me just kind of kills the site for me.

Yep... I can tell you that I'm not even going to open it, considering I'm sitting in a waiting room with several other innocent bystanders at a car dealership right now.

One of my biggest web site pet peeves is sites that inflict music/noise/effects on you right away, sending us scrambling to turn it down. Is music really that necessary for a photography site?

Especially if I'm recording audio at the time.

He's aiming towards people with style and who are responsible for style (judging from the type of work he does)..he's not out to please joe-blo who wants shots of his dog infront of the fireplace. This is a great site - and whatever you're selling: I'm buying!

Now that I'm home in a muggle-free environment, I had a chance to check it out. Very, very nice! It's a fun site to navigate. My only nitpick (other than the music) is that when you reach the end of a particular series of shots, the "forward" button still appears at the right of the shot, implying that there are more shots when there aren't.

Otherwise, I think this is an awesome showcase of your work!

Super nice site.
Looks like you put a lot of work into it and it shows.
