I like this idea. It could "spawn" some creative ideas.

Quotes - Basic editing. Pick a quote from any source and take a picture to illustrate it.

How about a hedcut challenge?

Description: Take a photo that is emphasized by the hedcut technique. This doesn't have to be a person, it can be of anything.

Rules: Expert perhaps? Whatever allows for a layer of dots or lines, and manipulation of that layer.

Before and After.......where you combine two photos side by side.
Forget the date rule too, as that probably can't be verified.

Yeah yeah...I started that thread. The point was to get the same thing into the actual topic without having to actually leave the topic.

I really liked (but did not enter) the DPC challenge where everyone came up with an alternative to what DPC meant. While I didn't enter it, I did think on it every day for a week.

In that light I would like to resuggest "Attack of the Killer...." where you photograph something (inanimate) over whelming the picture.

Another, Success is .... - photograph your idea of what success is.

OR The meaning of Life. - self explanatory.

Re-birth - it's Springtime up here in the Northern hemisphere with rebirth going on all around us on different levels. Let's see some of it.

Thi sounds good - even better if you have to create 'new' Super Heroes - enough of the old, in with the new : - )

Becky-Lee and I were just discussing "Heros" as a theme yesterday, but our idea was for the real kind; a tribute to armed forces, police, firefighters, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, search and rescue, etc. - the folks who protect and save us every day. :)

13

"Whether good or bad, 13 is known far and wide as a special number. Take a photo of something relating to the number 13."

---
Bricks

"From kids toys to 500 year old buildings, there are bricks everywhere. Take a photo containing one or more bricks."

Work.

What kind of blood sweat and tears can people derive from this? Work is a very broad range, but I think could really inspire some creative perceptions of the word.

OR

Peculiarity.

See what people can image as being peculiar in state. This one should envoke some serious thought of what people see everyday that is a bit out of the ordinary. I would keep it a basic editing challenge though just to see how peculiar things in life really are without having to edit them in.

Ok, now I like this one.

Or...how about LATE NIGHT...show us some things that happen or appear late at night.

Chasing Capture the thrill of the chase, whether it is in fun or deadly earnest. It could be kids, cars, bikes, animals, anything you like
