That is a spoof. That is a PS doctored Fuji S3. So far there has been no official leaks about the next dSLR from Nikon. Speculation is that there will be an announcement tomorrow... but I got tired of holding my breath a long time ago.

1.5 or 2.0 in high speed. i would gladly trade a few mp for more fps though, 5 in the high speed is kinda weak. also the 1/250 flash sync kinda is bogus, thats one of my favorite things about the d70.
If this is only 1300 i would be surprised for its resolution, hopefully its got a strong body build, looks pretty cool though. I would guess it would be like 2000 maybe more to start though. hopefully im wrong. |

I was at my local camera shop the other day and the guy behind the counter told me that a Nikon rep was in the store the other day and he had mentioned the d200 but not officially. The guy said the body will go for $1,300 and with an 18-50 lens (or something like that) for $1,500. This is coming from the camera shop guy.

It will probably not be for a while yet. Nikon just introduced the COOLPIX P1, COOLPIX P2, COOLPIX S3, COOLPIX S4,& COOLPIX L1 at the IFA 2005 World of Consumer Elecronics September 2-7. If they had the D200 ready to go then it would be there.
I check Nikon's international site almost daily and they very seldom post news more than once a month. I think there is a PMA show in November so I would guess the introduction will be in October.
And I've heard rumors that the camera is going to be closer to $2000 than $1300. |

Im on it if it's only $1300.00 for a 12MP Camera. Otherwise I might have to stay with the D-70 a little longer.
