Shot these at 5.05 am from Sussex downs, England.

Eclipse photo 1

Eclipse photo 2

Eclipse photo 3

Just after this last shot the sun and moon slipped behind some cloud. I was very lucky and well worth getting up for.

Good stuff.
Here is my collection of a few of my eclipse photo's.

Here in Holland the sun was rising at its maximum eclipse. The effect should have been two seperate pointy bits of sun penetrating the horizon. Unfortunately clouds spoiled the fun and the first shots could be taken 20 minutes after sunrise. It was cloudy and hazy, the camera had trouble focussing (went manual), the jpeg compression was very agressive on all the haze and wave detail, so the results are far from optimal. Anyone else some pics?

Oh well, maybe I do!

here are two eclipse shots, and one non-eclipse shot taken during the eclipse. We had a bank of cloud right on the horizon, so by the time the sun was visible it was a little too bright for my set-up, and I had to push things to get some landscape exposure - I quite like the effect though.

Mark - I recall your asking about where I was shooting from - it's a little to the east and north of The Devil's Punchbowl (is that still the downs? maybe not ...)

Ed,i was just down the road from you on Devils dyke road.
Also had trouble with that bank of cloud right above where the sun was to rise.
Just after my 3rd shot the sun went into the cloud and didn`t come out for about 10 min. By that time it was to bright to shot the landscape as well as the sun/moon.
