Hi-ho,

Another attempt to get some folks in the Canterbury area intested in a GTG.. I posted a msg a wee while ago and bumped it for a few days, and discovered I was all alone (Awwww, poor me..).

Anyway. It's almost spring, so a trawl around the Botanic gardens/art center or central city one sunny morning sounds like a good laugh, and even if we don't take any good photos we could sit in the arts center cafe and talk rubbish for a couple of hours. :-).

Cheers, Chris H.

Well i was at the Christchurch botanical gardens last weekend, i live in merivale so its a 2 min drive. I was surprised to get some great shots of monarch butterflies, i thought it was to early for them but we have had an unusually warm winter.

So explain what it is you are trying to organize?

Will do, but not till March next year, we're up visiting friends in Auckland, and might swing a bit higher for a visit... You got space on the lounge floor? :-)

Wooo Hooo! Another CHCH'er. Well, I'm not strictly Christchurch, but a Leeston party would be a small one. :-).

Basically a get together (GTG) to talk about / take photos...

Or more specifically, the chance to hang out with other people afflicted with the digital photography bug, who wont complain if you let your Latte get cold waiting for the 'right light' to take photo of the froth on top!

If you have a look back through the 'GTG' threads on here you'll get a feeling for it. Just adding a another aspect to the dpc addition really.

And you're right, the Monarchs are out early, I saw a couple in town (Leeston) today, must be about 3 weeks early? We're in for a long hot summer I'd be guessing.

Cheers, Me.

Forget CH CH and the top of the North ... Come thru to Taupo! A little piece of the South Island in the middle of the North Island!

I'm planning a visit home in February. Will be about a week at Hatepe on Lake Taupo.

Arrr, that'd be a neat GTG. Access to the dead-ball line hording gaps at the brook!!

It's going to be quite a spread out gettogether by the sounds of it. :-).

Arrr, that'd make it tight. :-).

I'll let you know when we're coming up though.. We'll be staying either on the north shore, (Pakuranga) or Muruwai beach depending on who we bludge a floor off!

Cheers, Me.

That's fighting talk. High stress levels and nerves have the sane symptons as food poisoning. And anyway ... you guys did never prove the existence of Susie.

Hopefully it is a good game with the Boks winning by one point. Maybe I should post some pictures that I took at Newlands as a reminder that you are only as good as your last game :-).

Cheers

Um the woman that poisoned the all blacks during the 1995 world cup freely admited doing it. No offence but its a fact that it happened with 100% proof. It was all uncovered a while ago and we saw it on the news as well as a documentary where she was interviewed, but obviously your media wouldnt freely air it so its understandable you would be unaware!

Anyway thats history the All Blacks now wont eat or drink anything that isnt made by thier entourage.

It will be a good game as are all SA and NZ games

Yay good to see New Zealand has retained there number 1 position in the world in rugby.

Rugby has gone back to the way its been for centuries where we are No.1 and South Africa a close second and England....well never winning anything, its incredible how they won the world cup, id say that was the biggest fluke in history.
