hey i was just wondering how many younger people are on DPC, i'm 18 and have only been into photography for about a year but am eager to submit and have my work reviewed on this site. if you're a younger person here (18-25) reply here so i don't feel like one of the only ones.

I'm 23 and have been relatively serious about photography for almost a year. I value the honest and direct feedback that you can get on your shots from other photographers here.

This site has some very talented young photographers (age 14-18) who regularly place in the top 20. It is quite inspiring.

Don't feel alone Michael. There are many very young and very talented photogs here (not me...I'm an old fart)
Konador,(18) Joey Lawrence,(15) and annah(14) are a few that you might like to check out.
But welcome to dpc, this is an awesome place to learn and just hang out. Have fun :-)

Well I'm 22, I've been pretty seriously interested in photography for a bit over a year now, though I'll admit the last few months I haven't spent as much time shooting as I'd like.

There are also several members younger than 18, including ribbon winners ... as far as I know the youngest submitter was 5 at the time.

21, came on here a couple years ago.

quickly seen my faults before becomming too busy.
I continued to learn away from DPC (started shooting for local papers, then later my gf at the time and myself swapped ideas and methods, and worked together..

and now I'm back as a unemployed (except for occasional wedding's I do) uni student.. so I got time for this again..

so be interesting to see how I go now.

im 18, and a photography student at ohio institute of photography and technology. I would love to spend more time on here but I'm always behind a camera or in a classroom. I am quite active though, right now I"m getting ready to leave for mamoth cave to do a shoot with a couple. I should have some pictures tonight, either of the couple of the caves. I am hoping to find someting to fill the b and l challenge.

I just turned 17 last month, This site has really helped me get inspiration and helped me get some ideas for things that I would like to try. Macro being one of them. There are so many talented photographers here but at the same time us little people never feel left out, there is always a chance to show our work. Thanks DPC!

I'm 15.
Been browsing here for a while now, submitted my first photo here the other day (Dairy challenge).

Only just got my first DSLR, a Nikon D70. I'm hoping this site can help me improve the quality of my shots, now that I have a camera that I can properly control :D Just need to get a few other lenses and filters now.

In addition to the great ones Taterbug posted, Nico_blue, Elsapo, Nightshy, Zoomdak, Smartypants, and Ennil are all much younger than you'd expect from their photography skills.

I'm 22 myself, but 22 is an old fart around here when you consider 14 y/o are getting blues hahah

What do we call people who are younger than 18? We're not members? Maybe we're not young.

:P I think you were trying to find people your own age range right?

I'm 17 and I entered three challenges since I joined last month. I'm into writing as well as photography, but writing has been around for me since I was ten-years-old. I'm an auto-didact and unschooler, a student of the world, and not of an imprisoning, demoralizing school.

Hey, what about me? :P lol I'm 15 now, 13 when I joined...I really think DPC has helped me improve tremendously. Granted, I'm not as amazing as Zoomdak yet, but I'm also not 18 yet. (I'ma get him someday! lol)

I'm a 20 year old photography major and have been on this site for a while now. Although my participation has been lacking in the challenges lately, I'm still constantly on the forums and looking through challenge photos. It really helps you to think creatively and all the comments really help to improve your work. Have fun with it.
