| I think after reading so many humerous posts on these forums that this suggestion could be a lot of fun. I use to go to a site (which has now closed down) where it would show a photograph and people had to come up with funny captions to match the photograph. People would vote on it and then the winner announced. There were some extremely funny captions. I have seen so many photographs on here that would be perfect. I was always impressed with the creativity of the captions and how people saw so many different things in the same photograph. I think it would also help to promote peoples photographs and encourage others to view the profiles of the selected photographers. (This could just be a random selection or chosen for the caption possibilities of the photograph). I just know after reading some of the posts I have lately that I will be in stiches with some of the captions and it would certainly give the site a more fun feeling and not a more serious competition feel. |

| why don't you find a photo for us to add captions to? that sounds like fun, and i'm sure everyone here would have a blast with it! |

| I guess you could do it without the voting..just people coming up with captions. (you couldnt do the voting if our names were attached to each comment). Ok, now I have to go find a photo! hehe (me and my big mouth!) If anyone else has a photo that they think will lend itself to some funny captions, feel free to post. |

There were a number of threads months ago where a contributor would click the "insert thumbnail" button in the message compose mode, and enter a random number (essentially picking a random photo from this site) and then make up a caption before they had seen the pic. That's a variation on your idea, and some of these threads went on for 100's of messages. Here's my humble sample!
