Confessions of a digital camera junkie...

My fourth digital camera just arrived in the mail today... a Pentax Optio WP. Dang, what have I become?

Just for curiousity, how many digital cameras do you own? I have:

Canon EOS-350D Digital Rebel XT
Fujifilm S5100
Fujifilm E550 (which my wife has hijacked, but that is OK:)
Pentax Optio WP (A water proof camera, since I do spear fishing)

So, how many digital cameras does your household own?

Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Sony DSC-P92
HP PhotoSmart 315
Olympus D-450Z

Mine are upgrades from the last 10 years... I just never bothered to get rid of them...

I guess I might add that I also have a Pentax P3 and a Canon EOS-Elan II in film bodies...

Hey, a couple of you sound like you've been to a DCA meeting........

I'm behind the rest of you, but I can see myself catching up in the future.

Right now I have a:
Fuji S3
Some Sony one that I don't even remember the name of. It was stuffed up on a shelf upon the arrival of my Fuji :
My 13 year old son just got his first digital, an Olympus C-765

Also, in about 6 months or so I'll probably get a Nikon D70S as well.
I'm guessing in a couple years or so I'll be ready to upgrade or "think" that I need to.

I just bought a 20D!!! I'm really excited about it. I haven't even managed to learn much about my other camera (well, that's not true --- it's photography itself I need to improve a LOT on), but we just sold a summer cabin and I have been craving a 20D for a long time.

My previous camera <--- sounds odd to me, 'cause I'm just this minute loading the software for the Canon and charging its battery: Pentax *ist DS
I guess I will sell it because it's really too expensive for me to keep both of these DSLRs.
There's also a Canon S50 around here that gets very little to no use.

Okay, back I go to exploring the world of 20D!

I have a
Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Pentax Optio 550
Panasonic FZ5

That doesn't count the 3 I tried out before I got the Panasonic (Coolpix 8800, Sony DSC-V3 - great camera, not enough zoom, and the Canon S2-IS).

Oh, I also had a Canon S1-IS that I got when my Optio was in the shop that I sold to a friend.

I'm so happy with the FZ5 that the Rebel may be on borrowed time :)

2 other camera's reside in my purse also, my Sprint camera phone and my Palm Zire 72 which has a 1.3 MP camera in it and takes video too
oh yes, and my husband has a camera on his Treo 600

Reading this thread, I thought to myself, heck we're behind the curve... then I realized we have in the house:

- A Canon 10D (my main cam)
- A Canon SD400 (my daughter's cam)
- A Canon S410 (my wife's cam)
- A Nikon 995 (my old cam and the one my son uses occasionally)
- O forgot, the camera on my daughter's cell phone, LOL

We're doomed to soon have another DSLR in the house if the fabled 5D comes in at a quasi-reasonable street price and the reviews are good. The digital cams in the house will outnumber the outdated cell phones before long.
So I guess we're firmly in the camp of "digital camera junkies," LOL! Unfortunately, I also have "L disease." A really bad combination.

Anyone else? I am curious about how many cameras get used in your household. (not the old, retired cameras...)

Kodak DX3900 (dead, but still in the drawer)
Olympus C-700 (9,000+ pix, and still kicking)
Olympus C-750 (14,000+ pix, card door pops open!!)
Olympus Digital Stylus 400 (Slowly dying? But hey, it's weatherproof!)
Sony DSC-W7 (wife's, but I like using it!)
Konica-Minolta Dimage A-200 (just got it this week)

My 3 kids and their husband/fiancee/girlfriend: 6 people, 5 cameras - Sony, Minolta, Nikon, 2 of which we gave as gifts, another I advised on purchase. Maybe I should pass the C-700 to the only non-owner?

you will not be disappointed. i just got a 20d after having gotten rid of my 350d, which i was quite unhappy with. the 20d is far superior and overall a delicious piece of image capturing refinery.
